Miami, FL, Friday 20 March 2026. The third SAMA Board Meeting of 2026 was held on the third Thursday of March at the usual World Trade Center in Miami venue. Officers present in March were Daniel Álvarez (president) and Joaquín Ruhi (vice president)..Also present were SAMA president emeritus Paul Borden, immediate past president Woodie Lesesne and board director Eduardo Hapke. Tony Serrato represented his brother Marcello (SAMA treasurer). Special guest was Albert Collazo, Hispanic Communications Director for Ford.
Miami International Auto Show 2026 dates
As of this writing, the Miami International Auto Show website was last updated on 3 October 2025. However, John Kiskinis (president of Kiskinis Communications) confirmed (via Woodie Lesesne) the 2026 show dates. This year, the show’s traditional 10-day run will be from Saturday 29 August thru Monday 7 September. Although this breaks with the show’s usual Friday thru Sunday scheduling, there is good reasoning for this. After last year’s late September thru early October run, 2026 sees a return to including the Labor Day holiday weekend. This year, with Labor Day falling on Monday 7 September, it will mark the 2026 show’s final day.
Given that the 2026 show begins its run on a Saturday (with public opening time usually at 11 AM), the press conference schedule will, by necessity, be brief and subject to an early start. Working backwards from the confirmed show dates, we can inform you that the 3rd annual ChargedUp Miami will take place on Thursday 27 August 2026. Judging for the annual SAMA Awards will be held on Friday 28 August. The winners will be announced on Saturday morning during the press conferences.
A reminder about 2026 dues
As the 2026 calendar year reaches the end of its first quarter, only a handful of SAMA members have paid their annual membership dues for 2026. We thank you for that, and issue this reminder to the remaining members who have not yet paid to please do so. For your convenience, you may opt to pay via Zelle. This is set up under the email noreli@prestigeautous.com . The traditionalists among you can still pay via mailed check. Please note that we have held our annual dues to $100 for an Individual nontransferable Membership. Corporate/Business transferable Membership remains at $200.
