Miami, FL, July 3rd, 2026. PowerHouse Automotive Group announced the acquisition of Griffin Chevrolet of Sylvester, marking the company’s fifth dealership, its first Chevrolet franchise, and the creation of a new multi-brand “Sylvester campus” in Southwest Georgia. The transaction closed on July 1, 2026.
Located at 1006 W. Franklin St. in Sylvester, Griffin Chevrolet sits directly alongside PowerHouse’s existing Ford Sylvester store at 1002 W. Franklin St. Bringing the two dealerships under one roof literally next door to one another creates PowerHouse’s first true automotive campus, giving Sylvester-area customers access to both Ford and Chevrolet vehicle lines, sales, and service in a single location.
“July 1 marks a significant milestone for PowerHouse,” said CEO Fernando Arellano Geddes. “Adding Chevrolet to our lineup and building our first campus right here in Sylvester is exactly the kind of growth we set out to deliver when we started this company seven months ago expanding choice for our customers while deepening our roots in the communities, we already call home.”
Arellano Geddes brings more than two decades of automotive retail leadership to the deal, having led organizations that grew to 22 operations, including extensive experience successfully operating General Motors stores. That background is part of what makes the Chevrolet acquisition personal for him. “Having achieved great results operating GM stores, there’s something really special about bringing Chevrolet back into the family here in Sylvester,” Arellano Geddes said. “This isn’t new territory for us it’s a manufacture we know well and have had a lot of success with, and we’re excited to bring that experience to this community.”
The acquisition extends PowerHouse’s presence in Sylvester, where the company has operated Ford Sylvester since acquiring the Sunbelt Ford dealership group in December 2025. With this deal, PowerHouse now operates five dealerships across Southwest Georgia Ford Albany, Ford Americus, Ford Cordele, Ford Sylvester, and the newly acquired Chevrolet Sylvester and adds its first non-Ford brand to the portfolio.
PowerHouse plans to retain the Griffin Chevrolet team and integrate the store into its existing operational and community programs, including its workforce development initiatives and support for military families across the region. The campus model in Sylvester is expected to serve as a template for future multi-brand growth as PowerHouse continues to expand.
